Mission Hill Athletics Needs Your Support

After school sports are very important to the growth and development of many students. Lessons learned from participating in school athletics are priceless! These include learning new skills, discipline, camaraderie, school spirit and a sense of belonging.

Mission Hill Middle School does not receive state or district funding for after school sports.  It costs approximately $75.00 per athlete to maintain each team.  Your $75.00 donation pays for tournament and referee fees, coaches stipends, equipment, uniforms and their maintenance.

We know your time is valuable so instead of yet another fundraiser, we simply ask, if it is possible, that you donate funds to help support our athletic program!

Any amount is cheerfully accepted!

Thank you so much for your support!

ALL students participating in the Athletics program need to have a Physical each year to be considered eligible to play, participate, practice, and even try-out! The Physical is only one portion of the Athletic Packet. ALL students need to submit a completed Athletic Packet Online in order to be eligible to try out and participate in any school sport.

What is Sportsmanship?

Sportsmanship is:

  • playing fair
  • following the rules of the game
  • respecting the judgment of referees and officials
  • treating opponents with respect

Some people define good sportsmanship as the "golden rule" of sports — in other words, treating the people you play with and against as you'd like to be treated yourself. You demonstrate good sportsmanship when you show respect for yourself, your teammates, and your opponents, for the coaches on both sides, and for the referees, judges, and other officials.
